Feeling excited and torn. There are a lot of projects i want to work on, but i can’t do everything at once. I need to focus. I want to create a giant body of work utilizing both watercolor and oil paintings. Yet my mind is constantly designing clothes or thinking up storylines for comics or prose.
I’m a bit frazzled and tired. I have an adventure in front of me and a chance to completely revamp my life (and my art of course). I suppose i’ll be taking a break from tumbling and blogging next month to figure things out.
I also have so much art that i can’t bear to take with me. Wish i could sell it all.
LOVE love love your blog and illustrations. Really wish i had a unique style like yours
Aw, thank you! ♡ The best way to develop style is to keep experimenting with materials. Find artists (both contemporary and in the past) that you like. Figure out why you like their art, and try to implement that into your art. It’s important to look at old artists too so your art doesn’t look exactly like everyone’s.
Plus i like to think about style as more of a way of describing things. It’s your own personal language. It’s less about making sure your art looks exactly the same over and over again.
Please, please, please, never stop drawing your art man. I wish you could draw me or something because i am 100 percent in love with your style and art. i dont even have words to describe how incredible your work is. High five man.
Thank you! So sweet! I never want to stop. If i ever take a break, it would only be to design clothes. But not really a break, because I’d be illustrating prints for the fabrics of course. ;) *high fives*
I do take private commissions, but am not currently doing portraits. I’ll be moving/ going on a long trip soon. Perhaps after.
